Bob & Denise Stein, Owners
Bob and Denise Stein directed camp for over 20 years. Currently, they are enjoying their retirement. Bob graduated from San Jose State University with a Masters Degree in Economics and his Secondary Teaching Credential. Denise has worked at Walton’s since 1965. Formerly, she was an elementary school teacher and holds a degree from San Jose State University. Bob and Denise have two children, Adam and Jared, who now direct camp.
Adam & Julie Stein, Directors
Adam and Julie have directed camp since 2000. Adam and Julie met at camp and were married in 1991. Their two daughters, Ella and Georgia, enjoy spending their summers at camp. Adam grew up at Walton’s. He holds a Bachelors Degree and Teaching Credential from CSU Chico and is a former high school and special education teacher. Julie also has a background in education and was an elementary teacher for ten years. She received a Bachelors Degree in Accounting as well as her Masters and Administrative Credential from CSU, Chico. She has worked at Walton’s since1985.
Jared & Erica Stein, Directors
Jared and Erica met at camp in 1994 and have directed camp since their marriage in 2000. They have two children, Abby and Charlie. Jared spent his childhood at camp. He graduated with a degree in Recreation Administration from CSU, Chico and has an extensive background in ropes course building and facilitation. Erica has worked at Walton’s since 1994 when she was hired as a counselor. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from CSU, Chico and is a California licensed Registered Nurse.
