Horses
The Plumas National Forest provides a stunning backdrop for horseback riding. Campers travel through nearby areas as they learn how to control their horse while walking, trotting, and occasionally galloping.
Those campers who have a strong interest in horses may participate in our Junior Wrangler program. Under the guidance of our Wrangler, Junior Wranglers are taught how to care for horses. This includes learning to properly saddle, groom, and feed horses. The Junior Wranglers are also given the opportunity to go on more extended and advanced rides.
